Victorian 1800s Black Velvet Hand Bag Silver Metal Frame Ornate Plunger & Pull Tab Purse Farm Satchel Pouch.

As Victorian handbags go, this is fairly large. This is an amazing Victorian purse, it dates from the 1850s through late 1800’s You can tell that the purse is pre-Art Deco/Art Nouveau by the roundness of the pouch as well as the trim/frame. The purse is made from a silver metal and is very detailed, it depicts a Farm/barn on a Countryside. It is in overall good condition considering it’s age. There is one small rip and spot of wear in the velvet, please see photo I will leave it up to the new owner to repair but it should be an easy fix.
